1. Who is iris stock?

Iris Stock is a service dedicated to provide high quality royalty-free and rights managed licensed content (i.e. photos, vectors, illustrations, video and animations) by either on demand and/or subscription mode governed by its Content License Agreement. Our dedicated team of photographers, artists, cinematographers and animators has created the content respectively.

At present all photographs available on the website have been shot in high-resolution medium format camera by our professional photographers.

2. How does iris stock work?

Iris stock offers high quality royalty –free, editorial and rights managed content and you may use the images, vectors, videos and animations in full or part in your work. Your license and usage of the content will subject to the applicable licensing and usage terms.

The royalty-free images (photos, illustrations and vectors) are available either by on demand license and/or subscription packs under Standard License/Extended License.

The royalty-free video (videos and animations) is available on demand.

The rights managed content (exclusive/non-exclusive) can be licensed based on the size, usage, time and territory etc. and the price for the content is fixed based on the size and other such usage terms.

The Editorial License Agreement governs the editorial licensed content provided.

3. How do I license the content?

You have the option to license the royalty free content either from our subscription plans (Standard License/Extended License) or on demand. The rights managed content license (exclusive/non-exclusive) can be licensed based on the usage, time and territory etc. and the price for the content is fixed based on the size and other such usage terms.

TTo license royalty free image(s)/video(s) click on the required image/video on the website. The page containing licensing details, content details along with pricing will appear. To select, tick the box adjacent to the type of the image (like Small S, Medium M, Large L, Extra Large XL) you require.

Click the download icon and that will lead you to the summary page (cart page), the price along with applicable service tax presently in force will appear. You may add or remove the content you wish to license on completion, click “buy now” icon it will lead to a SSL page where you may enter all required debit/credit card details on successfully completion of the payment, a link will be sent to your registered E-mail id and follow the link and download the image/video.

To subscribe our subscription plans Standard License/Extended License click the pricing button on top of the page or click “save with subscription” icon present there, which will lead you to the page containing details and pricing of the subscription, select the type of subscription of your choice by ticking the box adjacent to the plan.

Click the ‘continue’ icon and that will lead you to the summary page (cart page), the price along with applicable service tax presently in force will appear. You may add or remove the content you wish to license on completion, click “buy now” icon it will lead to a SSL page where you may enter all required debit/credit card details on successfully completion of the payment, a link will be sent to your registered E-mail id and follow the link and download the image/video.

For rights managed content, click the content you require, a page will appear asking you to enter the required details of usage, period of time, etc., and based on the requirement the price will be fixed and mailed to your registered e-mail id, on your acceptance and successfully completion of payment, a link will be sent to your registered e-mail id and download the content by clicking and following the link.

4. What is the difference between Standard License and Extended License image(s)?

There are some differences between the Standard License and Extended License images. The Standard License does not permit you to use the image as website template or in merchandise or promotional item for sale or distribution whereas it is permitted in Extended License.

The TIFF format image file available under Extended License will best suit for large size reproduction of the image (like usage in big billboards)

5. What are editorial content?

There are some differences between the Standard License and Extended License images. The Standard License does not permit you to use the image as website template or in merchandise or promotional item for sale or distribution whereas it is permitted in Extended License.

Editorial content must be used relating to events that are newsworthy or of general interest and not be used for any commercial, promotional, endorsement, advertising or merchandising use. Please review our Editorial License Agreement for more clarity.

6. What is stock photography?

Stock photography is the supply of photography, which is often licensed for specific or multiple uses in accordance with license. It is used to fulfill the needs of creative assignments instead of hiring a photographer, often for a lower cost. They can be purchased and delivered online for immediate requirements.

8. What is a light box?

A light box is a folder on the website which you create and store your selected images that you would like to review or download later. You can manage and share your selected images from Light box. You may create, as many Light Boxes you require and you are not obligated to download the content stored in your Light box.

9. How to create a light box?

To create a Light box you have to click the “sign in” link on the website and register your personal information as required. After the successful completion of the registration you have to click any image/video on product page it will generate a dropdown box, the ‘light box’ icon will be present there on side of the image, click the ‘light box’ icon “new account” will appear type and save the light box with whatever title you prefer. Thereafter you can continue to add and manage your light box or continue creating another or as required. If you desire to rename your Light box you may click “Rename Light Box” icon and rename it and save by clicking “save“ icon.

10. How to Add/ Remove content from Light box?

You can add/remove the content in the Light Box by selecting the required content and click the “Light Box bulb” icon present on top of the page. Likewise to remove an image from Light Box click the icon “ Remove”. The selected content will be removed form your light box.

11. How do I share a light box with anyone?

To share your light box with your friend/colleague or client, select the e-mail option, enter the e-mail id and click “send”

12. How to delete Light box?

If you want to delete your light box click the “light bulb” icon present on top of the page and go to the light box manager area and click on the “Delete” icon and it will get deleted.

13. After my membership expires, can I use the content I downloaded?

Yes, you may use the downloaded content in accordance with license you have purchased and till the expiry of such license. Review Content license Agreement.

14. Can I download the same image more than once?

Yes you can download the same image/video by accessing my account on the website and click the Download history where you can find the download link of your earlier downloaded image/video. Click the link and download.

15. What if I forget my User Name and Password?

You may visit the forgot my password icon click the link. E-mail will be sent your registered e-mail id.

16. Will the image I download have watermark?

No, the image you download will not have watermark.

17. If I modify any image/video can I claim copyright?

No, You cannot claim copyright for the modified image/video, iris stock and/or its contributors will continue to own.

18. Can I sell the images I download?

No, you cannot sell or distribute the images download from iris stock anyhow you may use them in design element.

19. What does Royalty-free image/video mean?

Royalty-free refers to a copyright license where the user has the right to use unlimitedly the image/video in any media as detailed in the Content License Agreement. RF licenses cannot be given on an exclusive basis. RF is one of the common licenses sometimes contrasted with the Rights Managed licenses

20. What does Rights-Managed mean?

Rights Managed, or RM, in stock photography industry, refers to a copyright license, which if purchased by a user, allows the one-time use of the photo as specified by the license. If the user wants to use the photo for other uses an additional license needs to be purchased. RM licenses can be given on a non-exclusive or exclusive basis. In stock photography RM is one of the two common license types together with Royalty-free.
